A month of style

Working from home has so many perks but I do miss dressing up to go to an office each day.

My previous jobs were very people-orientated. I have worked in dynamic regional towns and corporate city offices, travelled across Australia, attended international conferences and liaised with the whole spectrum of agriculture from farmers to politicians to business leaders. My work wardrobe is testament to this diverse career: corporate suits and high heels mixed with the R.M. Williams staples of a rural journalist. Nowadays, my ‘uniform’ is more likely to be shorts and a t-shirt in summer and (gasp) ugg boots in winter.

So this month I am challenging myself to ditch the ‘I don’t care what I wear because no one can see me’ attitude by participating in a month-long Instagram style challenge run by the lovely Katy (@wearwhatwhere).

It’s simple: Katy sets a style theme each day. Her followers interpret the theme and upload a photo of their outfit each day with the hashtag #wearwhatwherefebruary:

I’ll be documenting what I wore on Instagram (@mrsm_loves) and here on the blog, with a weekly style recap on Facebook (Mrs M Loves). If you are on Instagram, play along using #wearwhatwherefebruary, #mrmsloves #everydaystyle and #ootd (outfit of the day).
